Questions & Answers Frequently asked questions (FAQ) from our guests

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions from our guests. If you need further support, we are happy to help you personally.

Course bookings

Can I book just one day of group lessons?

Yes, you can book just one day and then decide whether you want to continue. If you decide to book several days after the first day, you only pay the difference. However, we recommend at least three days, especially for beginners, to learn the basics.

Is pre-registration required for group lessons?

At Christmas and in February/Carneval, yes! Outside of the holidays, there is usually always space in the group lessons. We recommend booking online to secure a place.

Do the ski course days have to be taken consecutively?

Yes, the days should be consecutive, as the groups learn something new every day. Otherwise, a group change may be necessary. Please talk to your instructor and our office if you need to change something.

Can I also join a course during the week?

For advanced skiers, it is always possible to join an existing group during the week. Basic beginner courses start Monday and other days with 4 or more people.

Payment options

Can I also pay with a credit card?

We accept cash, ATM cards, or bank transfer and Credit Cards (VISA, Mastercard).

Will I get my money back if the child doesn’t like it?

Refunds for days not skied are only possible with a medical certificate (illness, injury). These will be paid out with vouchers for the next visit or refunded on your bank account if you booked online.

For young children we recommend to book a trial day first and then decide to continue. We also offer extension days after 3 days to minimize the risk.

Special requests

Is it possible to book a group course with a specific teacher?

Yes, but we ask you to let us know your request as early as possible. We will do our best to fulfil your request.

How early should we book a private teacher?

The earlier the better! At least 7 days in advance gives us the best chance of fulfilling your wishes. Bookings can be made on site, by phone, by email or in the online shop.

Children and families

From what age can children take part in the ski course?

For 2 and 3 year olds we offer our Snow Rabbit Crew (45 min.)
From 4 years in group lesson from 10-12am (Kids Star Club).
Full day classes from 5 year olds
Snowboarding courses starts from the age of 10 (in group lesson).

Can our children be in a group together?

The children are divided according to their skiing ability, age and language. Please state your preference when booking. If the children are not equally good at skiing, the better child must be considerate and go to a lower group.

Is it possible to book lunchtime care for individual days?

Yes, please buy lunchtime care one day in advance in the office, by 4.30 p.m. the day before at the latest.

Refunds and cancellations

Do beginners/1st timers also need a ski pass?

No, your ski instructor will tell you when you need one.

Is the ski pass included in the ski course?

No, ski passes must be purchased separately from Filzmoos Ski Lift Company (filzmoos.ski) at Partners.

Does the Filzmoos ski school also offer ski rental?

We work with all sports shops in Filzmoos. You can find the addresses of the ski rental shops under Partners.

Course types and programs

What is the difference between a taster course and a normal course?

We recommend the trial course for young beginners and if you aren't sure whether their child will enjoy skiing yet. If you extend the course after the first day, the trial day will be credited towards the final price.

Are there also Half-day courses?

Yes, for advanced adults, in the Kids Star Club (course for 4-year-olds), and private courses. All other group courses for Kids 5y+ and adult beginners last 4 hours (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon). Exceptions must be agreed with the ski school management.

Organization

How are the groups divided?

The groups are divided at the booking with our classification video. Each level has its own beach flag (1-10, KSC for Kids Star Club, Adult Beginners, Adult Advanced). If a division does not suit, your teacher will inform you about possible changes.

Our classification videos in the online shop will help you find the right level when booking.

Will we manage it in time if parents and children go to the ski course?

Yes, the groups meeting points are near each other. All courses end at the assembly point and the children are looked after until they are picked up by their parents. But please be on time for pick up!
